  1. it's basically to show dominance and to show off their strengths so they can look more intimidating to other male gorillas. :D

    making loud deep sounds

    from their chest and that their

    strong enough too do anything.

When a rival approaches and threatens his affections for a female gorilla; in order to establish his dominance within the group; when approached by people; when they're excited; when they're alarmed; to mark their territory when approached by another troop of gorillas and as a location signal-often when one gorilla beats his chest, he's answered by another gorilla. This can be used as a way to keep the group together.


  5. they slap them to make their b***s go back up because it's fat with man b***s and wants to look good.

    Just kidding they do it to show the other males to know who's the dominant one.
