  1. This keeps people looking for what they really wish to buy and finding impulse items which they didn't come in to purchase.  It is motivated by profit.


  2. It is a marketing scheme.  You learn where everything is and then they move it.  While you are looking for it, you see something else, maybe that is on sale, not on your list, and you buy it. So, not only do they sell you what you needed to begin with, they sell you things that you find while looking.

    Another thing they will do is mark an item one price at one end of the display, and higher or lower at the other end.  People who check prices will buy the cheapest, while people who don't have a 50/50 chance of buying the same article at the higher price.

  3. yeah so that people can see all the products in the store and so that they can sample them out.

    cause people would know what they want and then would know what they are looking for and only go for that specific aisle.
