  1. For tune and sound I am guessing is what you mean ?

  2. The only time I would loosen my strings is when I am travelling from a warm area to a colder area (if I am driving with the instrument in the trunk, or on an airplane). I have seen the strings contract from the temperature change and pull the neck loose. Otherwise, there should not be a reason to routinely loosen the strings.

  3. They don't unless your doing something like dropped D or changing the strings to a different pitch. Another reason for them to be loosened is when your taking your guitar on an airplane.....some strings break when flying because of the pressure. Also if your not going to be playing for months it's good to loosen them, to take the tension off of them, why have all that tension if your not going to play for some time, it only puts tension on the guitar unnecessarily !!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Loosened?? When doing what?? Attaching?? Detaching?? What do you mean??

  5. You don't want the guitar strings to be too tight because they'll snap. They have to be just right (and to tell is if they're in tune).

  6. Guitar stings are never loosened, unless they are too tight and the sound isn't right.  Guiitar strings should always be tight on the guitar.
