Why do guys do this??????

im 16. for example there is this one guy at my school who whenever i see him is constantly glancing or staring at me. i am by no means the absolute hottest girl in school but i am no way near the ugliest. i don't consider myself intimidating- i was new to the school a couple years ago while he has lived here his whole life. we never talk. this crazy eye contact has been going on for about over a year now. i hardly acknowledge him when he looks at me. i dont know he just makes it awkward why doesn't he just talk to me for gods sake and tell me if he likes me if he does? i mean hes always staring and watching me have conversations with people. i acutally like him and he seems really cool so what is up with him why do guys stare but not approach a girl? it is confusing me really bad. also it seems like he always stares from a distance far away from me so i wont see but i do notice quite often b/c he is in my direct view. i dont wanna ask him why im shy w/ guys

im a guy, and i know that its because he's atracted to u. you may not be the hottest girl in the school or class, but for some guys certain girls seem to just stand out, even though your not the best or hottest.

Do me a favor. ASKhim if he would like to talk or eat lunch.. Because he may just be curious as to your personality for now,,, if you continue to stay or be shy, it could turn into an ugly thing for you.. The true word is stalking!!!!!! Stop it now heaven forbid beeeefore it could get worse...

many guys do this to tease girls.. or they have something in their mind they think that by staring girls they will come and make friendship with him..

He's obviously just too shy too approach you. Its really hard for some guys to go up to girls and try to talkto them, especially at that age. If you like him just start a conversation with him some time, If you start the conversation it may relieve some of his stress and allow him to open up a little.

Seriously, go talk to him.  Ask him out.  Trust me on this, people in high school are still trying to figure out the "games" that must be played in the art of seduction.  s***w waiting around for him to get over his nerves...get to it!  Personally, I found in HS that the guys I asked out were rather pleased that I made the first move, but perhaps that was simply only akin to my situation.  I doubt it, however.  :)
