Why do guys go crazy texting you a few nights in a row ALOT and then will disapper for a month?

i know! that happened to me too. i got in this relationship since about 6 months ago. the first days, he would be so upset if he texted me and i didn't immediately replied, or worse didn't reply. so, i had gotten used to this habit of always replying and even starting the conversation through text messages, coz he once raised a question about why i never texted him first. then i said okay, since i grew to love him. but now that i was that attached to him, his texts became less and less, and there came a time when i didn't get any message from him a whole day! i don't know! from the way he behaved, i could see he loved me, so i really don't know! i broke up with him 5 days ago, and i have been devastated.....
