Why do hackers hack?

they hack into my emails and ruin my life. why do they do it?

Hackers hack because they do have time to do so, or they simply can. Some of the [in]famous hackers say that they did it to show the vulnerability of such and such operating system, or application, but the bottom-line is they do so either for personal gain [money, popularity or notoriety], or just for the "fun" of doing it, basically an addiction to feeling superior, or just for the adrenaline rush!

Presently, two types of hacker exist: the ethical hacker  and the cracker-hacker. The ethical hacker usually performs clever, quick fix to a computer program problem, while the cracker-hacker is someone who breaks computer and network security. Unfortunately, you are the victim of the second type.
