Why do they feel the need to put stickers all over their vehicle and wear HD shirts and hoodies, but only put about 300 miles a year on their bike? Is there some poser club I don't know about?

When was the last time u saw someone with a Team Yoshimura Suzuki shirt on and was bragging about Matt Mladin?

ANOTHER QUESTION

why do ppl like Harley's?? Please no "BECAUSE MY HUBBY BOUGHT ME A SPORTSTER AND ITS THE BEST THING EVER" ovaries-only answers!

  1. If I ever see a sticker on a Harley - I'll laugh my butt off!

I see more stickers on j*p bikes in my area.

Harley's are American made. That's been a big part of it.  I would have bought one if they weren't so heavy, loud and expensive.  When I save my pennies - I might move over to a Buell. We'll see.

What I dislike about Harley's is that they are very heavy and tend to be loud.  I hate loud. It just bothers people.  BUT not all Harley Riders have loud bikes - there are a few that are rumbly but not over the top.

People that jump on the "If I have to explain it" are just bandwagon folks....

There are GXR bandwagon folks, there are naked bike bandwagon folks.... If there's a trend - someone will be jumping in because they see others doing it. That's just human nature.

    It's an awfully trollish question....

edit: Um, I can get parts for my 30 year old honda.... not a big deal - checkout oldbikebarn.com

  2. Because the stickers will give more protection to the bikes, maybe

  3. why do ppl like Harley's??  It is a brand preference.  Get over it.

  4. Because Harley owners obviously have more money than sense!

  5. it's called trend-humping....

people percieve something as being admirable, when in reality, it's just being a stubborn loser...

why do old people ride harleys? because they haven't changed in 50 years, and nostalgia runs rampant...

why is the new mustang selling so well, the new charger, cause people want what they had when they were kids, and if they can't get it elsewhere int heir lives, they buy it in their products...

    simple as that

of course, they won't admit it...

they will come up with c**p like "if i have to explain it, you wouldn't understand" which is bullsh*t... or "105 years can't be wrong" which is also bullsh*t, 105 years of tradition unhampered by progress maybe...

  6. even if i took the time to explain it all to you, you wouldn't get it. your either a Harley person or your not. you definitely are not.

  7. Some people just have pride in what they ride.

We don't question you about the rainbow sticker on your rear bumper and your "Cure AIDS" T-shirt, do we?

  8. Maybe they don't wear j*p T-Shirts because of the embarasment factor. As much as you push this HP bull****, you'd think rode a horse and owned a stable.

  9. I do not know anyone in the groups we ride with that only put 300 miles a year on their bikes. Most riders have shirts from all the rallies they attend, events they ride in, and places they travel to.

As for putting a decal, window emblem, hitch or plate on their vehicle, it is because they like their bikes.

Enjoy the riding, but stop the griping and whining, it makes all bike riders look bad.

  10. cause it's still considered an American Co. And me myself, I can't speak for everyone get a back ache and neck pain riding a crotch rocket, I like to lean back and enjoy the ride. I have a question for you, if the design is so bad, why do the j**s go to so much trouble trying to copy it. When you see a 60 year old Yamaha that you can get new parts for, let me know. I don't rag people for what they ride but I've seen more Harley bashing here than any other site, and if a Harley rider does some bashing it's normally because some dumbass starts some c**p about Harley riders.

  11. buying something i'd like doesn't make me a loser.... dwelling on and worrying about what someone else is doing says alot more about being a loser.... wtf do you care?

i like it, i can afford it, and there's nothing stopping me from spending my money as i please.

send me your money with instructions on whatever kind of rice rocket you'd like me to spend it on, and i will.... until then... you need to remember.... it's my money so it's my choice

  12. Little Kyle,

This is one question you should not worry yourself with.

It sorta like why would any person want to go around with saggy jeans or why do you see a bunch of kids at the mall in a circle and they all have cell phones to their head. We all know they don't have anything important to say in the first place.

Now go relax and ponder world peace.

  13. "Harley People" that's funny.

I own a Harley, but I'm not sure what a "Harley People" is.

  14. You want to know why Harley riders do that, maybe it is for the same reason people buy fake race bikes and get  leather jackets with all kinds of sponsors names on them. At least the Harley rider rides his for what the motorcycle was built for. Sport bikers like to look like they really went fast.

  15. like stated above its a lifestyle/ fashion statement aka. buying friends

  16. To answer the first question is that when Harley was owned by AMF, they learned merchandising. There is bib money in t-shirts and decals. I often wonder myself how many have Harley stuff and don't even own a motorcycle. I waited until I got a Harley before buying my first t-shir.

  17. people like harleys because its in their blood. i love harleys and i still would even if i was the only remaining harley davidson fan in the world. people who only put 300 miles on their bike are wasting their money. i put 500 miles on my bike as a nice trip. dont get me wrong i have respect for those cute gixxers and r machines. and you gotta realize that just about every harley stereotype you just mentioned has its own form in your breed. j*p bikes are for kids. when you grow up you will atleast ride a j*p cruiser. or a harley if your lucky.

  18. same reason a sales man buys an all-original Cobra. For the name. not for the ride.
