Why do his finger tips get numb when he sleeps?

My dad keeps complaining about his fingertips being numb when he wakes up in the morning, what is it caused from?

  1. its most probably caused by pressure on the nerves

    but numbness in the fingertips area is a symptom of diabetes

    i think your dad should do a blood sugar test to see if he has diabetes (type II)

    just in case


  2. its possible that he is sleeping on his wrist or arm and he is compressing a nerve

  3. Could be a vitamin deficiency or diabetes too.  Sounds like he needs some bloodwork done.

  4. Your extremities are the first to suffer when you have a circulation problem.Get him checked out, sooner rather  than later.
