It's a fact that there is black ancestry in most of south america to some degree. In fact there the majority of the west african slaves were sent to South America. Only a minority went to America. Now I'm not saying they're only black or they're "black" cultures like black americans but it's still the truth

  1. Hispanics don't like black people, did you just hear what that last person commented on that black people and look like monkeys or have ape gene's, this is how they feel, they think black people are lower then dirt, I'm sorry but most not all non-black Latinos are like that. you should see how the Mexicans talk about black people, they think they are smarter then blacks because of skin color(that is the mind frame of ignorance and backwardness), their belief is race determines your level in society. the funny part if that's the case why are they below every racial group in America when it comes to Education(they have the highest high school drop out rate in America and have babies at young ages), their community more or less control most of the gangs in America(have you ever heard MS-13 or the latin kings) and why Americans hate them more now then Muslim's(or Arabs) or blacks because of the immigration debate, how many of them are coming here illegally. Also to respond to the last commenter most black Hispanics from Dominican republic are not mixed, big papi in the Red Sox is a good example of that. I'm sorry but the only blacks that tend to like to mix with non-blacks are the black Hispanics because their community puts them down for their race alot. I think black people are beautiful and don't need to mix with anybody to be beautiful:

  2. I'm hispanic and I don't hate when people say there are black hispanics...you can plainly see that they are black if they have black skin and nappy hair!  But black people, desperate to mix their ugly monkey genes with nonblacks, will try to claim hispanics with zero to almost no black genes.  Like, George Lopez and Jessica Alba did DNA tests...she is not black at all and he is 4%.  Black people are obsessed with trying to mix away their blackness.  Do you think we are stupid and don't notice that?  And they tell dumb white people that latinos are black to make them think they will make pretty kids together, but they still look like monkeys when they come out.  Hahaha!!!  Even black Dominicans are often very mixed with nonblack genes--but not enough.

  3. Because out of all the cultures or continents in the world the region in the world that is more discriminatory toward people of dark skin or African background are the South Americans followed by Australians(read the history with how white Australians treat the Aboriginals, Aboriginals are not African but they are a dark skinned race). The only culture in south America that admits it's African culture and embraces it to a extent is the Brazilians, and they are not Hispanic. Any way the biggest reason is because Hispanics have been taught socially that anything black is associated with negative, as a result Hispanics have done a lot to avoid anything to do with the black race or black, not only with the white or mixed Hispanics(funny most have black blood in them) but the black Hispanics themselves. For example you ask them to identify themselves culturally they will say hispanic but when you ask them to identify themselves racially they say hispanic, just so they won't say black. Even the non-black hiapnaics are fond of that anytime there is a black hispanic they find ways to avoid calling them black racially and say they are dark skinned but no matter what they do they are black, it's the same way in calling somebody black Caribbean or Black african. In the Government in most Hispanic countries only white or mestizo Hispanics have power, in the entertainment business you only see light skinned or white hispanics represented like people who look like Jenifer lopez or Eva mendes but you never see somebody like Zoe Saldana or celia cruz represented. Thats why when many black hispanics come to America they are embraced more of who they are racially by Americans, especially black American then their own non-black country men & women, that they are closer to blacks in general. Most Black hispanics that are popular/famous today became famous when the enterred America through the Black American or Black Hollywood business; examples are Fantanasia Barrino, Zoe Saldana, Tataiyana Ali, Reagan Gomez, Fabulous. If these famous black hispanic individuals or people like Barack Obama, Oprah, Denzel ashington and etc were in Latin America they wouldn't have been in the position they are in now. That's why Majority of Black Hispanics in America identify themselves as black racially first then Hispanic culturally second. Like For example Actress Zoe Saldana that has been in movies such as Avatar, guess who, Star trek(the new one), has always identified herself as a black women of Hispanic culture or blatina. the Hispanic community never embraced her till she was in the movie Avatar but the African american community has embraced her from the beginning in Hollywood/black hollywood movies, she began her career in African american movies actually( ex. Drumline). The same with tatiyana and fantasia, so you get the drift. Even in famosu hispanic magazines, their have never been any black hipanic representation but in Black magazines like Ebony or Essence magazine almost all black hipanics have been on these magazines.

    hers a debate about it:
