Why do hommies type like tHiis?

oK yOu aLL knOw wAt ii aM taLkiiN abOuT. When people in the hip hop/rap scene type like that. I mean why take all that time to type in such a way.? I mean it takes 45 minutes to type a sentence. Also why 2 i's? Whats the point?
