Why do horses hate pigs?

In my experience most horses are freaked out by pigs - why is this?

  2. Horses are afraid of pigs.

    If they have been around feral hogs they will be doubly afraid. Deer will flee from feral hogs on site from two hundred yards away. Wild hogs are dangerous and unpredictable animals.

  3. It must just be certain horses.  certain horses don't like dogs, and some don't mind them.  Some don't like small children, some do.  It is just the particular horse.

  4. I have never seen that.  I've seen farm yards with mix animals and never notice the horse being intolerant.

    Animals don't hate.  Hate is an emotion reserved for humans.  Animals are either tolerant or intolerant.
