  1. Bald men really aren't s**y.  Neither are bald women.  Don't underestimate the power of sexual selection.

  2. The answer is quite simple.  There is no selective pressure to have less hair than we have now.  Unless sexual selection (a part of natural selection) moves in the direction of less human hair, there is no reason for hair to disappear.

  3. Thats a veri good question (:

Well first of all, dont you have hair on your head? Wouldnt you think you look funny without hair?

The hair on ourselves gives us warmth and it also helps our other body functions.

Hair is just a bunch of dead cells.

  4. thousands of years isn't enough to change such a thing.

besides, you are assuming that the only possible purpose is for warmth.  I suspect that another use for hair is that it is much easier to tell if there is some insect on your skin or before it gets on your skin.

  5. Notice where the hair grows.  It is all over the body for a puropose.  When you sweat, the hair holds the liquid down and the evaporation of that liquid is all over your body.  It is on the head because that is where the heat is, heat rises.  It is in the armpits because of the same reason and you have a concentration of lymph glands there.  The other area, I don't know other than that area is a high heat area.  But, we haven't lost the trait yet because of the temperature of the atmosphere.

  6. because humans haven't evolved beyond the self-absorbed phase yet, and revlon hair products needs to make a living.

  7. because it still helps trap a cushion of air around our body that helps us stay cool, plus wouldnt it look wierd ifeveryone was bald?

  8. Because we are still mammals, and spells HAIR.

  9. Q: would you date a really hot chick who was bald?

plus, we still have all the hairs that our prehistroric friends had, only our are thinner and much lighter in color. the hairs are still here because they fend off the mosquitos.
