  1. you probably have had something in your body happen to you such as a fall or a hit to your body but when you try to sleep your body is very overworked or something try getting in bed earlier or having some peacfull music

  2. i have sleeping problems to my mum got me these herbal tablets called Kalms sleep. you could try those i guess. hope i helped.

  3. Over active imagination, I dream to sleep works for me lol

  4. one word: exercise.

  5. i have the exact same problem...and i think hot milk solves it...

  6. this is probalbly because you are constantly thiking of something else rather than resting your mind and brain!

this is a phsycological problem i am not telling that you are phsyco i am just leting you know that if you keep saying that you are not sleepy you will never be so just pretend to yawn and say that you are very sleepy

all the silly sheep counting things don't really work. all you have to do is get to bed close your eyes rest your mind and tell it not to think one more word (which can be hard) pretend that you are deeply asleep and you will be

try my tips i hope they help because i have got the same problem as you and this works for me!!

    GOODLUCK!!!!

  7. Yes. You are stimulating your mind too much before bedtime. You must wind down first. No music, computers, books etc. Your mind can't switch off with those things.

  8. it could be caused by stress. i really dont know how toget rid of stress tho. srry

  9. hmm I heard you could drink milk to get you to sleep.

yeah me too, I have trouble sleeping myself.

It takes me 2 hours or more. SIGH

  10. you have a lot on your mind

  11. Do you go to work?  if so are you sat on your butt all day? I am so tired I go into a coma practically cause I am on my feet all day and using my brain! Nothing meant nasty,

  12. Maybe somthing on your mind? You could just be used to watching tv etc after bed(Saying if you do somthing once you get in bed)

  13. once u go to bed if ur not asleep in say 30 minutes get up and walk round ur house for 10 minutes then go back to bed. c if that helps, it does for me.

also cut out caffine, fizzy drinks, dont exercise b4 bed, chocolate, etc, and try to be less stressed, maybe take a bath/shower b4 bed

  14. m********e

  15. Is your mind tired as well as your body? I would go for a brisk walk, takes someones dog with you, come back have a hot milky drink, and a lettuce sandwich (aids sleep), you will be zzzzzzzzzz before you know it.

    sweet dreams

  16. i have the same problem ...i may get like 4 hrs of sleep ..it call stress and ur mind is thinking  about so much.. see a doctor it help a little

  17. i get that sometimes, but mostly i just try not think about a lot of stuff and stop worrying about trying to fall asleep cause then u will get urself worked up and wont be able to sleep. also it might help to excersize a lot so u dont have a lot of energy when you are gong to go to bed

  18. do you have alot on your mind right before you go to bed?  If your thinking about things your mind keeps thinking about them even when you are tired, this happens to me alot, I'm quiet the insomniac, I even walk up at night and then I'm wide awake thinking or worrying about things, try to relaxe take a bath before bed or read a book, I found that if I stay in the it makes it harder, I try to get up and read in the living room or clean something.  Then when I feel tired I go back to bed, sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't, but your bedroom should be free of distractions, it should be your relaxing place, try putting some lavendar under your pillow it's calming and may help!

  19. Different people have different ways of getting to sleep, and doing different things can help or hinder getting to sleep, you just have to find what's right for you.

Insomniacs can find that doing something such as watching TV beforehand until you feel utterly shattered and can't help but fall asleep works. You could try lying in bed and reading until you can't keep your eyes open and then try to sleep.

Often if you think about trying to sleep too much you keep your mind awake, which doesn't help. If you lie there and just relax and enjoy the fact you're just relaxing you should eventually drift off. You can also think of different things that make you happy, be it the good things in your day or what you're planning to do tomorrow.

In the end if you still are unable to sleep, persevere with different ways that help you, but if you are still unable don't worry, for that will only make it worse. Anyway, just lying in bed all night without sleeping gives the body 90% of the rest it needs for the day ahead, so it doesn't matter too much if you don't fall asleep straight away.

  20. Create a slow down period for yourself at the end of the day - have a cup of warm milk, read a book (don't watch TV - apparently that makes bits of your brain have to work faster), maybe have a warm bath - just gently relax.

Take a lavender scented pillow to bed (this relaxes your senses too), maybe listen to some quiet music.

Really just set the scene - it isn't 100% - if you're worried about something then it is always hard to get to sleep - but setting a routine during which you are winding your daytime stresses down can really help.

  21. It depends on what you do before bed. If you are watching TV (movies or shows) that excite you, your mind will not shut down. There is this article on a web site that can help you understand why your having a hard time falling asleep. I did suffer with the same thing your going through, but after I read this, it helped me a lot. Now I'm getting the rest I need. This is a three page article. To scroll to the next page, on the bottom of the page has a right arrow that you can hit. There are also tabs on the top left side that also talk about other sleep disorders.

I hope this will help you get better sleep.
