I always seem to see the number 37. I see it a lot on the clock like 1:37, 2 :37, etc. I see it the most when i'm with my ex boyfriend. His birthdate adds up to 37. The day we started dating added up to 37 and the date we broke up added up to 37 as well. He got in a car accident at 1:37 pm.When i dated him i saw it all the time..even when he use to pick me up and drop me off at home, or when i went to visit him at work. I'm not sure if it's a warning sign or just a coincidence, but there has to be some meaning to it.

  1. Because in a string of any two digits where the digits are between 0 and 9, the probability of seeing the number 3 and the number 7 together is 1 time in 100.

In statistics, this is a relatively common occurrence given the fact that human beings see many strings of numbers constantly in today's world.

Also, you mention clocks. The probability that you will see a time in a 1 hour stretch that is X:37 is 1 in 60 times, also a very high probability given in addition the fact that you have 24 chances per day to see this number.

As for any meaning you may attach to that...I think that is your call. While there may be no correlation/causation event actually occurring, the frequency with which you have counted the observation of the number may cause you to be more alert to your surroundings.

  2. We see what we expect to see. Try this experiment: say to yourself that there are many red cars and after a while you will notice a lot of them. Its a brilliant trick, especially if you are looking for rabbit trails for your supper.

    Cheers

  3. You probably see all kinds of numers all day every day.  Just for some reason your brain has decided that the number 37 holds some special significance for you, so when you just casually glance at something that has a 37 on it, you notice it, whereas if it had a 14 or some other random number, it wouldn't make any impression at all and your mind would just skip right over it.

  4. This happens to a lot of people . It's not that you don't see a lot of other numbers..it's more that they kinda "jump out" at you. Just like certain words or verses seeming to jump off the page. Maybe you'll find some answers in this link..

  5. Why are you still with your ex-boyfriend?  Why don't you find yourself a decent man who interesting enough that you don't have to think about why you see the number 137?  Oh and also what TR said.

  6. h**l, I see 12:34 all the time but that does not mean anything unless you look for  reason to.

  7. the numbers 3 and 7  have a universal meaning;; looks it up if you think it must mean something.

  8. I choose to see 67 since that was my high school football number.  It's called confirmation bias.  You assign special meaning to a word, number, thing and then you begin seeing it everywhere.  It was there all along, but you had yet to attach special meaning to it.  When you see something (i.e. a time not having 37 in it) it has no special meaning to you, so you don't take note of it.

  9. Confirmation bias. You noticed the number 37 once and it stuck with you. Ever since then, you've been noticing every other occurrence of this number but you've not paid attention to the far, far more numerous instances where you failed to see this number. And for any event, if you decide you've got a lucky number, you can probably find enough details about the event which you can assign a number to so that you then can apply some arithmetic operation to create that favorite number of yours. There is no meaning to it, it's just a mind game that we play on ourselves.

  10. It does happen that certain numbers seem to pop up more than other numbers. As to whether there is any meaning to it, you would know better than I.

Be careful though; here's a quote to explain what can happen...

"The most consistently coincidental of all probably came from Anthony S. Clancy of Dublin, who was born on the seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year of the century, which also happened to be the seventh day of the week. “I was the seventh child of a seventh child,” he wrote, “and I have seven brothers; that makes seven sevens.”

Actually, it makes eight sevens if one counts the number of letters in his first name, but to continue: On his twenty-seventh birthday, according to Clancy, he went to the track. The seventh numbered horse in the seventh race was named Seventh Heaven, and was handicapped seven stone. The odds against Seventh Heaven were seven-to-one, but Clancy bet seven shillings anyway.

    Seventh Heaven finished seventh."

  11. This may have to do with the universal law of attraction. It's a phenomenon that like attracts like. It's not just a theory that those interested in the paranormal subscribe to, it's also backed by quantum physics. The act of observing something changes its properties. This means that our intentions and thoughts have energy properties capable of changing/altering the world around us.

In the same way that if you notice something or have a conversation about a certain topic, it will come up a few more times. You have been focusing on that number, and your intention/belief (even if not conscious) is that it will keep popping up. Therefore, because your intentions are very real and affect the world around you, you have continued to experience the same numbers.

Although explained (to a certain degree) by science, it's still a pretty amazing phenomenon. Try it out with other things, for example think about quantum physics... I guarantee that if you do, the topic will pop up over and over again!
