  1. I have the same problem. Like the person before me said, ALOT of it has to do with iron. You need to eat more red meat like steak, etc. I know it has alot of fat but it's the only real way you can get a good amount of iron. Also, I have very thin skin. That could also be your problem. So you may just be cursed just like me. If you find yourself eating alot of iron and you still get bruised easlily you may just be cursed with thin skin. :(

  2. You may have developed anemia (low iron levels in the blood) which is the commonest cause of this type of bruising.

If you add foods to your diet that contain high levels of iron, such as spinach etc., you should notice your bruising reduce to normal, i.e. only due to injury.

Taking iron supplements should produce the same results.

If you make these changes and still don't notice any improvement, you will need to see your doctor for a blood test.

  3. An iron defficiancy, also known as anemia could be the cause. Make sure you are getting plenty of iron (you could take a supplement, its also it red meat.) Some people also just bruise easier than others, it happens! Stop running into stuff! :-)

  4. You need to see your family Dr. and have bloodwork done such as CBC, pt ptt and  have your clotting factors checked.  There are many reason why people bruise  easily and only your Dr. can diagnose them.  As previously written anemia is one of them.  Does any one else in your family ever suffered from a clotting disorder, that would be something significant to tell the MD. I bruise very easily, but I'm a total klutz. Good luck

  5. do you get hit a lot in the same place if so then yes you would bruise easily
