Why do i do this all the time?

i have really bad self esteem with my looks.

im constantly checking the mirror and looking in reflections and complaining about how i look.

i hate it! im always trying out new products for my skin, hair, teeth ect to make myself more attractive and wanted. I cant have any eyebrow hairs unplucked or out of place, or chipped nail polish, constantly moisturising , ect. but i never feel pretty. it never works.

what can i do to become more happier in my own skin? or at least get a break from this?

  1. Daydream... no seriously when you daydream you can be anything you want to be and at the same time sort-of not be there at all

  3. I used to do that all the time too!

    But now that I'm pretty loaded to the max with school work (yet I'm on here..) I've really stopped caring.

    I figure the only person I  have to answer to is myself and NO ONE is perfect.

    Everyone is self-conscious every once and a while so you just have to let yourself be OK with how you look.

    You just have to come up with some kind of mantra and BELIEVE in it. Like "No body's perfect and I'm fine the way that I am" instead of beating yourself up all the time. Take little steps at a time. Like every time you reach for a mirror try to direct your hand at something else.  

  4. see a therapist..self esteem problems can lead to much bigger issues..spend less time thinking about what you look like and spend more time having fun and hanging out with your friends..if they are real friends they wont care if you dont look perfect..dont feel like you have to be perfect cause you dont...do wha tmakes you happy and try to slowly break the habbit of constantly looking in the mirror

  5. I'm REALLY self-concious too, sometimes it gets so bad, that when I look in the mirror I start crying. But really, some where inside you, you know that you're attractive. Don't ever compare yourself to other girls, it definately only makes you feel worse (unless they're ugly ;P).

    Listen to your friends when they tell you that you're pretty. (:

    They're probably not lying.

  6. The only way that I know is everytime you look in a mirror compliment yourself! No matter what. Find the things that you like & work with those 1st then the rest will come!

    Oh and another thing when you wake up ALWAYS look in the mirror and say good morning beautiful to yourself!! Always!

  7. 1] is there anything you can actually change? Hair cut, longer nails, whiter teeth....

    2] improving self esteem makes you feel more attractive - some comes with age, the rest with attitude!

    3] assign one grooming 'chore' per night of the week, along with daily hair washing and skin cleansing:

    mon - facial

    tues - deep condition hair

    wed - exfoliate body, face

    thurs - pluck all stray hairs

    fri - manicure and/or pedicure

    sat: teeth whitening/self tanner

    sun - rest, and get ready for school!

    4] don't forget aerobics three times a week, and 3 sets each of 10 reps of situps, obliques, crunches, pullups, pushups - three days a week

  8. get rid of all the mirrors in your house..

    maybe have one to get ready in the morning

    and dont let yourself look in it...

    if you feel like your going crazy try leaving out some products and then just use what you absolutely need.  I am kind of crazy like that but I try to avoid the mirror.
