Question:

Why do i eat better than others and still have a tubbier body type?? What's wrong with me??!!?

I'm an 8th grader (13 years old), and every day when it's time for lunch at school, I eat my usual salad and peach. And my usual water as a drink. I've never eaten or drinken anything else at school for lunch! And right next to me are my friends who eat they're cafeteria pizzas and burritos and a side of either a mini dorritos bag or a mini hot cheetos bag! and with chocolate milk, gatorade, or powerade as a drink. at home, for the past couple months, I've mostly eaten salad as my meals. and when i'm really hungry, i'd have a cup of either jello or activia yogart. that's it. plus my water. that's all i drink. i asked my friends what they usually eat at home and they said: "PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS AT SCHOOL'S LUNCH..AND MAYBE A LITTLE MORE." and at 13 years old, i'm 5ft and 115lbs. with my friends (also at 13), they're about the same height but look like they're 90lbs! I don't get it! I try SO hard to get skinnier and healthier, and it never pays off! my friends don't even care and they look great! if i were to try not caring, i'd probably gain more pounds! what's wrong with my body?? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME???

  1. Maybe because millions of people right now wished they were your weight. (In otherwords, you are at an ideal weight)

    Or maybe because you keep dwelling over this.... There's nothing wrong with you. Do you excercise? Instead of dwelling over this and ruining your mind, maybe you could walk a lap outside.


  2. You probably have a slow metabolism which means you digest your food slower which can regularly mean the cause of some getting a bit tubbier than others. I regularly have a sandwich and a juice for lunch (not really all that healthy) but my friend is a toothpick and he eats 2 peanut and butter sandwiches and a lot of snacks like rice krispies and he tells me he has a high metabolism.

  3. Sum people just have better bodies than others. It's life, just like some people are smarter. Try getting into a sport like track or cross country.

  4. Well first off your friends probably have gifted genetics that do not allow them to gain weight as much and as fast. and by that their metabolism is much faster then yours as well. NOT YOUR FAULT!!

    Follow these three rules and you can accomplish anything such as wanting to loose weight. 1)Discipline, 2)consistency, and 3)patience.

    You need to speed up your body's metabolism in order to loose weight ande get thin. And in order to do that you should eat 4-5 small healthy meals a day every 2-3 hours and do an hour of consistant exercise 4-5 days a week (jogging, swimming, cardio,weights etc) I know eating 4-5 small meals a day sounds like alot, but remember they are small meals. by consuming small servings of food every 2-3 hours a day it enables your body's metabolism to speed up at a much faster rate thus you burn more calories and fat which equals weight loss.

  5. 5 feet 115 lbs is a pretty good waight. you would be lucky if you stayed that your whole life.

  6. Just wait! You will lose your baby fat very soon and they will slowly gain and gain. As you get older your body has a harder time burning all the calories and  if you don't create good eating habits you will pack on the pounds later in life. You will be fine, just try to exercise more.
