if i pray i feel annoyed or upset, something depresses me, and i get bored from it. Everything i do in my religion kills me, it just destroys my psychological state. Whenever i don't pray or practice my religion i just feel so relieved, light and happy. I feel the same with any other religion too. What's wrong with me?

and, i'm not going to reveal my religion, speaking spiritual here.

  1. You are suffering from guilt? Should there be some thing wrong? Do you need permission from your god? Or from strangers in a stranger forum?

You already feel relieved, light and happy.

Logically, you need not ask why ~ just stop praying or practicing your religion.

(Errr...that is, until you get depressed or upset or annoyed.)

  2. Isn't your life about what you believe the truth is?

As Jesus said. 'And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    John 8:32

  3. its  Good you can feel close to God   with out  religions  you do not need man made  rules  to connect with God  so its  good  you feel better that way.

  4. Sounds like you are under attack every time you attempt to commune with God.

I would pray that God gives you a clear head and revelas Himself to you.

  5. "Everything i do in my religion kills me, it just destroys my psychological state."

Become an atheist, man. A religion-less one. It's neat.

  6. The reason is that you don't want to be in religion.  So, be yourself and walk away from it and become free and live in reality.  No praying, now worrying about satan, no worrying about a mistake that is also called a sin, and also no more giving your money to a church.

  7. maybe religion isn't for you. you should spend some time thinking about life and what you think it really is. religion isn't for me. but im still a really spiritual person.

  8. Hey there..

Listen to your inner voice, it's trying to tell you something. If you don't feel good especially after what is supposed to be a very spiritual experience - praying....then there's something not right obviously.

It could be the structure of how you may have to do things that may not seem like you are truly speaking to God.....sometimes we get too engrossed with the rules rather than the true message. Plus it's a well known fact that most religions make you feel guilty - you have to repent...you have sinned...etc etc

So I understand what you mean and the best thing I can suggest is that - believe in being a good human being. You know how to be polite, nice and helpful etc.........practise that and that would give you more peace and happiness that you would have imagined.

    All the best.

  9. It is called "spiritual warfare" and every Christian has to face it at some point .

The King of darkness will always try to draw us back to him and distract us from serving the Lord. You have an armor against that, though:

    rebuking the enemy!

    Paul writes:

    The Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

  10. you need to get more spiritual. start asking yourself questions.. who am i? why do humans practice religion? who is god? why do we even exist? I'm telling you... RELIGION is a waste of time, but finding your spirituality is so worth it. you feel so free and enlightened. i am a christian and believe in God 100% but i used to be like you and i felt so disconnected. i used to hate to pray and going to church felt like a total waste of time. until i started asking myself questions one day and i started wanting to know what the h**l i was doing on this earth. now going to church is so interesting and awesome. i take what my pastor says and use it toward my life. but church isn't for everyone. you don't have to go. but i strongly recommend digging into you spirit. when we die where do we go? we do not just exist in a physical body. we exist even after  our bodies are gone. I'm not talking about heaven and h**l. ( i don't believe in that). I'm talking about just finding who you are. i think that's what saves your soul is knowing and recognizing that you exist outside of your body. having that deep spiritual connection will make help prayer make more sense and you will want to pray a lot more.

  11. Most religions are very demanding and lend toward perfection in the flesh.  You probably feel relieved because you are not fulfilled when you do these things, it is merely rituals and habit because that is what we are told we have to do to be on God's 'good side'.  God is spirit and without an understanding of how God "really" is, we (mankind) make up things and convine ourselves that this is what God wants when we have no clue at all.  We make God like mankind.  Although God created us, we (mankind) create what we think God is thru our various forms of worship.

  12. Do you think your intuition is telling you that it's not the right path for you? Similar happened to me at a young age. I'm thankful for that to this day.

  13. because god doesn't exist , all your praying is useless

children die of disease, wars happen people are crippled

    its all lies

    there is no god

  14. When you were a little girl, it was probably nice to share your pleasures and sorrows with your imaginary friend. Now that you are older, that imaginary friend has faded and faded and is almost gone. So when you pray, you feel frustrated that you are talking to yourself.

  15. You feel relieved when i don't practice your religion because your brain realizes it's wasting its time, and religion doesn't exist. You're lucky to have such a smart brain, but do me a favor, get like it.

  16. Sounds to me like you are practicing the wrong religion.

The right one would be one that does NOT make you feel bad about practicing it.

Really, one of the main points to religion is to get a spiritual lift!  If you aren't getting that, then you aren't in the right one.  FOR YOU.
