There is a scene in The Hills Have Eyes part 2(1985) where Janus Blythe who plays Ruby, gets knocked over and hits her head on a rock, rendered unconcious. There is also a slight stream of blood running down the rock as it occurs. First off, I want to say she was hot in this movie. However, why do I find this scene sexually erotic and mentally play it in my mind with other women in the role such as supermodel Adriana Lima wearing vs lingerie and such along with others? Before you answere this, don't tell me im a sick F. I'm not. It's not black and white. I would never EVER harm anyone in REAL life. Never! I just want to know why this scene plays a significant role in my mind as far as fantasies go. I will put the link up for the movie. The scene is on part 8 and begins on 6:48 and ends 7:16.

  1. I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about this sort of thing, specifically looking at fantasy as it connects to how we think about ourselves (identity).  I think it's really interesting that you mention how the scene and character upon which you've fixated is not seen again.  This is very common fodder for fantasies-- the fact that it is an undeveloped character allows you, as the imagineer (so to speak-- to borrow a term from Disney), to add your own flavor to the scene.  I specifically study fantasy as it connects to violent predators-- and this is NOT at all to suggest that you are or have any leanings toward being a violent offender; it's just to explain the domain of my thinking about this.  I know, for instance, the Dahmer case very well.  Dahmer spent a lot of time fantasizing himself as the Emperor in Star Wars-- lots of power but a very minimally explored character in the series.  Voila:  great fantasy fodder.

Now, in terms of the blending of s*x with violence, this is also VERY common-- especially for men, it seems.  The two are heavily conflated in our popular culture, so this is not surprising (that this impacts men more is likely borne by the fact that most sexual imagery features women).  Many men will thus fantasize the two (s*x + violence) together, but it's exceedingly rare that folks will act out on this imagery.  In fact, there seems pretty good evidence to suggest that such imagery relieves frustrations, thus, in fact, ameliorating any violent feelings.

So, be assured to know that you're actually pretty normal.  We all think (and privately do) weird things.  Anyone who tells you they don't is either VERY repressed (and you should RUN away from them) or is lying.  We don't talk about these things and thus feel that we must be the biggest weirdo on the planet.  But, if we shared with one another more (or, like me, just spent a lot of time researching this sort of thing), we'd learn that People Are Weird-- or that weird is normal (if by normal one means commonly practiced).

  2. Don´t worry about the explanations of a fantasy. At the moment you understood that it is not correct to do it, it means that you have a good sense about your behavior.
