Why do i find ants attracted to and inside my cellphone?

why is this so and how do i stop/prevent it? thanks

I'm not positive how you can stop the ants -- unless you destroy the ant hill -- you could maybe keep your phone in a ziplock bag when you're not  using it.

are you sure they are not those "Crazy" ants? They are ants that get into electrical items and mess up everything inside of it.I actually had some of these in a car I had.The Orkin guy told me all about them.They are small black ants that just roam around wildly and love to hide in computers,stereos things like that.I would keep your phone in a drawer and try not to let it sit outside on a step or in the grass.

maybe that's why they like your phone

where you do leave your phone so that they can get to it?
