Why do i get disconnected from the internet everytime we pick up the phone/hang up thephone?

i use sbc dsl, its been fine for about a year then it starts disconnecting everytime we get a phone call. It is very irritating espicially since i play online games quite frequently? How would i solve this?

check "ALL" your DSL filters!

Well make sure that you haven't changed to Dial-UP

Sounds like you have a phone without the DSL filter.!!! Every phone plugged into a jack, (except for the DSL modem), MUST have at least ONE DSL filter. I use 2 in series for the best performance.
