  1. A lot of times when you get muscle cramps during exercise it is because of a build up of lactic acid that occurs during strenuous workouts. This is because you aren't taking in enough oxygen to oxidize the acid during that time, so it stays in the muscles. As you exercise more and more your tolerance will increase and the cramps during workouts should stop. Its very normal.

A calcium imbalance can also be the cause, and taking calcium and magnesium vitamins can often solve the problem. But if you are sleeping over your arm, then maybe its just falling asleep or gets uncomfortable for the muscle after a period of time.

  2. this happens from exercising, its just that the body is not used to it.

if you get cramps a lot, see a doctor, they should recommended something to heal the cramps. when i do any cardio exercise, i also get cramps in the belly region, and after a while it goes away..if yours go away after a while, your ok, but if not, see a doctor.

  3. maybe you are not flexible enough... do some stretch exercises...
