Why do i get nightmares everytime i over sleep?

anytime i sleep over 8 hours i always get a bad dream

  1. It could be your brain's version of an alarm clock telling you that your body has had enough rest and it's time to get up.  It could also be that the serotonin that your brain produces to subdue you during sleep is beginning to wear off and you, therefore, have more perception of your senses which translates into nightmares.


  2. Well it is a proven fact, that if you wake up in the morning, and then take a quick nap, you tend to have a heightened awareness of your dreams. The mind after sleeping for such a long time, is still ready to fall back asleep, even in to REM, yet your consciousness has been zapped awake, and this combination is what makes a morning napper a great dreamer.

    I do not know if that is your case, but if it isn't then at the 8hr point, probably are reaching REM, and have dreams because of that.

    The bad dream component, may be unsolved issues in your life being expelled, and stirred, and that's all I can tell you.
