Why do i get paranoid over tornadoes/severe thunderstorms?

i get really freaked out over severe weather? is there any syndrom type?

  1. Well, if you are not afraid of getting struck by lightning or having sheet metal bits and wood splinters abraiding your skin in 150--250 mph winds, or maybe getting clobbered by a bigger piece of debris, then there is something wrong with you.

    Otherwise you may just be taking commonsense too far.


  2. Well think about it. You can't control the weather. The fact of not having control over something can lead you into  a "fight or flight" mode. It's human nature really. Just educate yourself and know what to do during severe weather. Learning about it is you best defense and helps to calm you down because then you will know what to do.
