beer is made from hops, hops is a grass. if you're allergic to grasses, you'll have a reaction to beer.

What kind of alcohol are you drinking?  It it's beer, it's possible you could be allergic to hops.  My uncle and cousin both have sneezing fits when they drink beer, they are allergic to hops.

I was allergic to certain red wines for a while, still to some.  It was the salicylates and sulfites. used in the wine.

Sounds like you're allergic to alcohol! My cousin is and he sneezes and his throat closes up and itchs and it can cause him to stop breathing if he drinks too much. He found out hes only allergic to beer though

if its wine then you may be allergic to the pollen in it.

if its beer, it could be malt/barley/hops pollen or even the yeast.

most vodka's are throughly filtered for that sort of thing

Are you sure you are not allergic to the scent of what you drink gives off. I would get tested for alcohol allergies to be completely sure, because this is the first I have heard of this with anyone.
