  1. Soda has approximately 7 teaspoons of sugar per can

sticky candies and sweets have lots of sugar

gum with sugar can also be an issue

Some people have a higher pH Saliva which adds to a problem

Basically what you need to know is that Sugar and Bacteria(plaque) mix together and make acid that destroys teeth. Every time you take a sip or a bite for 15 minutes (approx) the pH in your mouth drops enabling decay to form. If you are sipping on a drink all day or sucking on a hard candy (basically taking your time to eat something) you elongate the time in which you can make cavities.  I suggest eating less sweets and sodas OR if you are going to have them rinse with water after to get the excess sugar out. It's best to brush after meals to remove the excess plaque and food debris.

    to put it simply:

    Sugar + Bacteria (plaque)= Cavities

So limit some part of the equation

ALSO: If your cavities were between your teeth it could mean that you aren't flossing enough or thorough enough.

Just brushing will NOT get in between good enough.

  2. First of all maybe you shouldnt eat candy and dont drink so many sodas

then you should try Colgate total toothpaste if your using something thats not working.

  3. Eating sugary foods and drinks can cause cavities. Ask your dentist.

  4. it could be anything. the only way to really tell is go to yuour dentist and talk thouroughly with him about your health, medicines, childhood diseases .

  5. Try flouride toothpaste

Look at your bottom teeth, if it is more white towards the bottom like near the gum, you are more likely to get cavaites thats what my bro dentist told him

try brushing every meal and if not just rinse with water

btw if you have a dry mouth/tongue you need to drink more water since saliva helps your teeth

instead of floss try water pick, it is about $40

  6. it's all about genetics. bad teeth are hereditary. If your baby teeth fall out at an early age(5 to 8) you are blessed with poor teeth. If your baby teeth fall out between the ages of 9-12, you are blessed with good teeth...

  7. You eat candy and candy is bad.

  8. umm....candy or sweets..your toothpaste has sugar too you know...so brushing somestimes doesnt help...use mouthwash

  9. You might have very "groovy" teeth. Which means the ridges in your teeth are deep, they might fill with sugar causing decay. I have "groovy" teeth and my dentist filled it with some kind of putty to prevent cavities and I don't have any. Maybe yours should've done that.

Or maybe you could just lay off the sugar. I rarely eat anything with sugar in it, maybe thats why?

  10. Cavities are cause by sugar. If you ate a lot of sugar at say, 1:00 in the afternoon, but don't brush your teeth until 9:00 at night..that's 9 hours that sugar has been there. And if you keep doing that, then it will build up and eventually cause sugar. Either minimize your sugar intake or after you eat a lot of sugar, brush your teeth. No toothpaste special toothpaste i can think off! *Hint* Maybe you should use mouthwash too. It really keeps my teeth healthy!

  11. Some people have teeth that are tighter than others.

Its most likely not that your taking bad care of your teeth its just that food gets caught  in there and you miss it when you brush and floss. Try staying away from hard and sticky sweets.

  12. you really just need to bit down on your tooth brush when you brush that's what i was told

  13. You should look at your diet.

What does it normally consist of?

Soda or any sweets can give you cavities.

Make sure you are brushing really good and flossing like you should.

  14. idk try using the arm&harmer tooth paste with the baking soda in it and maybe try useing floride idk if that will help but its worth a shot
