Why do i have Silverfish in my house?

Question

I just came home,drew the curtains to find 4 little bugs under there (They hang to the floor) ..I googled house bugs and they seam to be something called Silverfish?

I cant stop itching! i hate bugs! How do i get rid of them? theres gotta be more,right?

Why are they here? i've never seen them before,i didnt even know what they were .. eww :(

silver fish lived 300 years ago and they still live today they live on carbohydrates like starches and sugar right now the probable reason its there is because you live in a old house so what i would do is follow these three steps...

1. Fill the bowl with a cup of water and begin mixing in flour until you have a paste with a consistency similar to thin paint.

2.spread both sides of several index cards with the mixture and allow them to dry.

3.Place the dried index cards in areas believed to be frequented by the silverfish.
