Question:

Why do i have a sharp shooting pain going through my muscles 10 to 12 hours after i worked out?

ok so i work out, then maybe around 12 hours later i start to feel a slight pain in the muscles that i focused most on. Then in the middle of the night or early morning my muscles cramp and i go through severe pain. I cannot use those muscles for the next 2 days because they hurt so much. Please can anyone help me, it has happened 3 times to me, and i don't really know what to do about it.

i do a warm up and then i stretch my muscles that im going to be working, i usually work to muscle groups and do 6 workouts for each muscle, i do 2 sets of 8

then when i come home a eat 120 grams of protien to help rebuild the muscles. I am wondering am i tearing the muscles to bad? or am i damaging a nerve?

  1. Yes, it sounds like it could be a muscle tear but the only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
