  1. 14 days after your menstural cycle is when you are ovulating i.e your ovary just popped a new egg, this egg is actually a group of follicles called the graffian follicle, anyways your egg in this  14 day period secretes or forms a yellowish body called the corpues luteum, this body helps maintain the secretion of progestrone one of the hormones that maintains your uterine wall so it doesn't shed( so you don't get your period), anyways as the ovulation peiod comes to an end( 14 days after your period), the corpeus luteum sheds, it can come out with your normal (odourless) vaginal discharge in a yellowish brownish color , you may also feel a dull pain on the edges of your lower abdomen(your ovaries, not your uterus), this is a totally nomal process, anyways when your corpues luteum is shed, the progesterone levels begin to decrease gradually and within a week it is reduced to the point where your endometrium(inner uterine wall) plus egg shed i.e your period starts. im a medical student and a finalist so trust me (plus i'm a girl) you are more than ok!
