Question:

Why do i hope bad stuff on myself when im upset???

I mean everytime im sad i feel like i should stop eating and stop talking to anyone..like i should promise myself not to and wish i was sick or in pain somehow???its like a tolerance help meee why does this happen???

i dont actually do any of these things but i think it everytime and it doesnt go away

  1. It might be a form of depression. If it really bothers you, you should speak to your doctor. He might be able to prescribe a medication that could help.

    It's a fairly common problem in society now-a-days, with all the stress we're all under, so don't think anything's "wrong" with you. Just get some medical advice, or perhaps speak with a counselor.

Sounds like you are punishing yourself for being what you consider to be unworthy.  You are suffering from a self esteem problem more than likely.  We are all human.  No one is perfect and is happy all of the time.  We don't see all of the things that others suffer from, because we are so wrapped up in our own problems.

    If your depression goes to a very deep level where you do not want to live, you need to tell your doctor right away.  He may need to give you some mild depression medication.  Some people suffer from a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes severe depression sometimes.  Below is a website where you can do a self evaluation test for depression.  That is not to say that Prozac is the right antidepressant for you, because that depends on your body chemistry, and the doctor would need to determine which one is best for you.  This test will help you to determine if you may need antidepressants.  The doctor will do a complete evaluation.

  4. Maybe you're feeling guilty about something, so you take it out on yourself?

    Like, when I miss an easy target at shooting I tend to hurt myself.

    Which.. is not good. I just feel like I should be punishing myself.

    So, other people get that too.. but it's not a healthy way to be upset.

    Try talking to a therapist about it, helps a bit.

  7. I do that when I want attention. If I wish pain upon myself it's because I want my boyfriend to cuddle me and bring me breakfast in bed :)

  8. Its a coping mechanism. This is how many self-harm and eating disorders begin. The behavior you are feeling the urge to do would allow you to avoid feeling the feelings you are. Most people who end up with these disorders have similar personality traits in guilt and bad self feelings. Don't be afraid to allow yourself to feel however sad or whatever feeling you want, the urge to run away from those feelings is driving you but don't let it take over. The feelings wont last. Try talking to someone.

  10. I would feel like this sometimes. I dont know what it is. Wishful thinking but its wrong and you get guilt afterwards? I think we need to see a doctor. I think its a chemical imbalance in the brain. I used to hope bad things would happen to me or around me or to personal items. Just realizing this.. but I remember wishing my house would catch fire when I was like in the 3rd grade. I think maybe I strive for attention...? could that possible be the same way you feel? I hope I helped a little... because you helped me to understand myself better. Weird huh?

  11. You probably just can't help it. It's probably something you feel at that moment that makes you feel that way. You should take it easy though as much as possible, you need to try to control your body. It's not good to keep doing that to yourself every time you get mad, even though it's not your fault, you have to try and do your best for that not to get in the way of jeopardizing your bodies reactions and emotions towards certain things.

  13. ohh ur like me!!! i do that... its probly just normal tho... i mean wen pepl r sad... they probly dnt want to do anything cuz thy r so upset and dont feel like they r worth anything at the moment... u is probly depressed like me........
