I'm new to shaving with a non-electric razor.

Why is it that whenever I shave, i always seem to still have hair on my face? What am I doing wrong?

And also, how can I prevent those painful bumps?

  1. Change the razor to a better brand

  2. What kind of razor are you using? If you're using a crappy disposable razor that's probably the reason. Use one with at least three blades. Be sure to use shaving cream that is formulated for sensitive skin. Immediately after shaving splash a little alcohol on your face and feel the burn! That will prevent the bumps.

P.S- if you have just a few hairs left on your face, go ahead and pluck them. It hurts but it's better than dragging a razor over your skin and irritating it more. Even when you get a professional wax they still need to go over with tweezers.
