Why do i keep geeting shocked in my kitchen?

each time i wash dishes i get shocked. i just shocked myself when i touched a pot on my stove and my arm still hurts..wtf?

  1. A simple scientifical explination:

    Your body is holding a static charge. It usually happens when it's hot and the air contains a lot of static, but if you drag your feet across the carpet in something wool, you can contract the static from there. When you touch something with an opposite charge than yours, you get that little shock because you and the object are trying to even out the charge.
