  1. Because you are on all of the spam lists.

  2. These are all scams designed to con you out of your money. The most well known of these are called "419" scams and came from Nigeria - someone who supposedly by coincidence has the same last name as you came into a large amount of money but then unexpectedly died recently in an unfortunate accident. Because of the severely restrictive banking laws and unstable political situation in the country, normal banking channels cannot be used.  One way they are trying to get around it, so they tell you, is to forward the money to your bank account, and then when they need it they will withdraw it when it is safe for them in their own country to do so. In return for this, they say they will cut you in on a percentage of the money. Of course they need your bank account number to do this. What then happens is the gullible person gives the bank account number, and the person's bank account is cleaned out, and of course the people responsible for doing it are untraceable as they are overseas and their true identity is unknown.

As to why you receive these - Spammers nowdays have sophisticated software that can automatically send out spam e-mails to thousands of people at the touch of a key. Beware - just delete these things and forget about them. Or get a webmail account like Yahoo Mail which has a spam folder which you can have things like this sent to and then delete

  3. They want to steal your money and identity.

  4. Someone has hacked into the computers dont answer them and hit the spam button...  i GOT ONE OF THESE RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY SOMETHING TILL I SENT IT TO OUR LOCAL NEWS STATION AND THEY RAN A PIECE ON IT THAT SHOWS U WILL BE SCAMMED AND THESE PEOPLE ARE OUT TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY AND YOUR MONEY...

  5. They are spam emails looking for gullible people to rip off.  they have to send out thousands to snare a few people. Just mark them as spam so your filter will recognize them & send them off to the spam folder.
