  1. yes

  2. Are you serious? Because your subwoofers need power to pump.

Unless they are 50w or something insignificant and you can hook them up to the deck's pre-amp, you need an amp to power them, which is then hooked up to your car battery.

Even then, your car battery might not be enough power, so you might need 2 or a deep-cycle battery.

  3. everything needs an amplifier to produce sounds.  your regular speakers have an amplifier to them.

  4. Your headunit (deck) does not have enough power to power your sub. Most decks only put out like 250watts which is used up by the speakers.

  5. More power, most subs need much more power to play then door speakers do, unless you can find a very very efficient subwoofer : )

  6. so the subwoofe to produce a good strong bass sounds

  7. the reason you need an amp to power the subwoofer is because the pre-amp thats in your cd player in your car is not capable of pushing more than 50 watts max, so if you want to run even the weakest of subs, you will need an amp to push the sub to its best capability, this meaning that your other regular speakers take alot of your cd players power, so you need an extra accesory to power the sub. Getting the amp will mean that your regular speakers will not be robbed of power, and the amp would make your subwoofer sound its best, and give it all the power it possibly needs. Think of the second amp as a second heart, giving the amp its own blood(power) to run efficiently and withou a problem, you wouldnt want to miss a beat in music, nor would you want your heart to miss a beat either right?
