Why do i need to teach english?

I teach middle school and I get many of my papers with texting words...which was amusing the first few times I saw it until I realized it was getting to become part of the writing culture. (e.g. "u" for you, and acronyms for common phrases).  Now it is one of my pet peeves...LOL!

Seriously though, without the ability to read, write, and speak proper English, these students limit themselves in their career choices out of school.

Have you noticed some of the postings on this website are written by people who could have benefited from additional English instruction?

Well, to teach capitalization and proper form.  Your question, correctly written, is: Why do I need to teach English?  A person  appears uneducated when he or she does not follow the rules of English.

If you are qualified to teach English..You need to teach English because this is our international language. Majority of the people used English for communicating others. You need to teach them in a proper way  because if you  don't teach them people will not write and spell words correctly and they will have a difficulty in expressing their selves since they don know English.

because our kids in today's society are lazy. they need to know how to write and talk.
