It's more noticeable on blank walls, plain surfaces. I see them in the dark and during daytime. Does anyone else know what this is?

  1. Do you have any other medical problems or have you had any injuries to your eyes?  These spots can be a normal part of life or they can be something more serious.  If you are diabetic or have high blood pressure, these can be signs of bleeding inside your eyes.  If you are having flashes of light or if there are alot of spots, you could be having a retinal detachment.  In any case, you should have an eye doctor examine your eyes any time you notice changes like this.  If you have not noted flashes, or only notice a couple of dots, and do not notice any change in the clarity of your vision, you are probably fine.  Don't take chances.  If you notice a sudden burst of dots, flashes, or a shade in your vision contact a doctor right a way!  It is better to waste a little time in a doctor's office than to risk your vision.  Sorry to be an alarmist....you are probably fine but don't take a chance.  If you have been having this for months, you are fine.  Just remember to go to the doctor if it gets worse.
