Question:

Why do i see "glittery" specks whizzing around up in the sky?

im being serious. ever since i can remember, when i look up at the sky during the day, i see what looks like tiny white specks swirling around in the sky. only my (dominant) right eye sees them. my left eye (my bad eye) doesnt.

why is this? does this happen to you?

  1. !!! I think I have finally found someone who has this!! I have no clue what it is but it happens to me too. Mostly inside though when not all the lights are turned on. sometimes I think others can see it too they just aren't looking hard enough :)


  2. I too have this.  I asked collegue, an Ophthalmologist, what it is and he said it is thought to be your eyes "seeing" your blood cells.  Mine glitter, and then fade away. I can only see them with the blue sky as a background and they get worse, or at least there are more of them if I look back and forth really fast.  It is kinda cool. He said it is a strange phenomenom. The defining factor to his diagnosis was that I only see them against the blue sky. It is absolutely nothing to worry about, just that some people see it.  I also have some smokey floaters that I see if looking form side to side. These too are not a problem.  Just enjoy it, lol!

    I get them to, but sometimes when i'm looking at the computer screen they look like shadows...? I hope thats not bad..
