  1. It helps somewhat if u nave some annoying guy behind you who won't let u sleep

  2. Only you can answer that question, but if I had to venture to guess, I would say, "because you choose to".

Solution?, the only way there will be a solution to this dilemma is if you decide you have had enough, and start doing the work you know is required to pass.

  3. Go to youth challenge. It'll wake your butt up. It'll give you respect, dicipline, and a chance to move forward in your life.

Motivation is key in your position and obviously the people around you have no idea what that is. Either they are doormats or they don't care.

It's not military school! They won't allow you in if you are in trouble with the law etc etc. It's not that type of school. It's a place to help you get back on your feet. They will help you get a job when you leave, help you with life. They will keep tabs on you even when you leave the place for a year after you leave to make sure you take care of yourself.

It's well worth it. They cannot force you to go. Only if you volunteer. Even when you go , you can choose to go home if it gets bad. "You sissy out". :) I don't think you would though if your asking for help.

hope this helps you, I know it takes steps to finish a thousand step journey. We all begin at the first step. This is that stepping stone.

  4. I feel the same way....

That's why I'm going to regular high school next year...

I don't know if this will help much....But I always think of my future....I think of the jobs I can get....My future wife....Kids....And I think to myself not to be selfish, because I realize that someday people are going to be counting on me....I don't want to let them down because I'm lazy....I think of the man God wants me to be....I don't want to let him, my family now....And in the future down!

So, I always think of my future....Everything!

Hope this helps, I know what you're going through!

    All my best!

    =)

  6. maybe you need a different learning approach. Or could it be the enviroment? School can be boring and suck at times but in order to have a succesful life you need an education.

  7. You know the consequence on the surface, but you have not accepted then are real on a deeper level. Go get a dead end job and try to imagine feeding a family, paying for medical needs, a car, a home, etc. on the pay. Visit your local slum. Imagine the kids you see there are yours and the defeated looking adults are you. Then visit the ritzy neighborhoods and imagine how nice it is to live there instead. You'll turn yourself around quick, fast and in a hurry. We call it the fire at the bottom of the ladder. It will inspire you to climb faster.

  8. Well, Jesusownsyourass, you must find what motivates *you*.  Is it a job well done and the subsequent satisfaction you feel?  Is it negative consequences?  Positive rewards?  A combination of the above?  What is it that *you* really want?

For each person it is different.  You must find ways to motivate yourself.

As I once told my teen son, you must want this for yourself.  Nothing I say, no punishment I mete out nor reward I give you will equal your desire, or lack there of, to learn.
