Why do in law's favoritism with there kids?

my mother in law favor's my bf sister and his baby brother. his sister is like 20 yrs old. bout to play international women basketball, his baby brother is basically up to no good ALOT. he has a baby who is soon to be one yrs old. well my bf and i are interracial couple. he is african american and i am mixed with 3 ethnics. his mother treats us like c**p. she talk about her own flesh and blood her son (my bf). we both help her out with food, bills, gas for the car, when ever we get paid. the thing is she telling us we need a better pay job. we need to pay EVERYTHING in the house while his brother is laid back and doesn't do anything and he ain't finding NO job to support his baby. he is a grown man and he could find himself a job. he ain't hopeless. so what should my bf and i do? I'm just REALLY FRUSTRATED living here in this house.

Move out as fast as you can and take your boyfriend with you. Save your money and don't tell the mother-in-law what you doing. I know what you going though been there. You can't change people live your life and try to be happy, healthy and safe. Good Luck

I'm not really getting yr siitu clear...but I think this is what you're saying:

Parents always have favs, even if they say no. She's gonna fav the dau. b/c that's her girl, she's gonna fav the other son, b/c he's her last baby, and she overlooks and treats him that way, not asking him to step up of any of his life situations. Yr BF is the more reliable, and responsible one. You don't say if Mom's working--if not, that's not good for the other guy.

If you two can't stand the situ, go get yr own place. You don't say how old you & him are, but if yr both over 18 you could get a studio apt, or a 1 bedroom apt. That will take a lot of grief off yr shoulder in some ways, but then you have yr own bills to pay, so jobs are a MUST.
