  1. becaues there not clear on issues

  2. Do not have enough money backing them.  Same thing for the Green Party and Libertarian party.

  3. usually 3rd party have a agenda far from main america.

and people are going to tell you your only a democrat because your a kid, but dont liscen to them, the Democrat party is the true Brothers keepers

look how they get there money

  4. It's about money and organization. You need money to build an organization, and you need an organiztion to get money.....What you might call a Catch-22.

  5. money and popular support.

  6. Because most people don't really pay much attention to reasoned argument.

Also, as you yourself suggest (no offence intended) people think it's not worth supporting them because they won't "make it that far."

Also because both major parties have far greater resources to squeeze them out.

Anyway, good luck to you, I would also be a democrat if I was an American.

  7. They don't have the money.

    They don't have the coverage.

And media organizations tend to back those who give them the best ratings and those people are interested in.

Sad how much talent is out there and what we get stuck with...

  8. Because people who are Independent usually run on the money they have for campaigning, once they run out they cant do anything so they have to drop out.  Plus they don't have anyone to back them up.  They are basically on their own.

  9. One reason is lack of exposure: they are not as well known as Republican or Democratic candidates.

Another reason is more basic: they are often single issue candidates.  Third parties are usually only concerned with a single political issue, whether it be the environment, civil liberties, taxation, or something else.  They lack a broad platform on the multitude of issues and therefore have only a limited base.

BTW. If you are 15, how can you already belong to a political party?

    >I was not remarking about your intelligence, as I do not know you personally.  If you identify with the Democratic Party, then you should join them when you register to vote at the age of eighteen.  Both major parties have plenty of smart people in the them, as do some third parties.
