Why do interviewers always give Howard Stern a hard time?

I've never seen a good interview with Howard Stern with the exception of possibly Lettermn because for the most part they always want to grill him and tell him how bad he is and never ask him good questions that people that actually listen to him would like to know. The Tom Snyder and John Stossel were some of the worst ones they just acted like he was beneath them and didn't ask anything that mattered. Don't they realize he is better at interviewing than most of them. I'd like to see someone for real interview him I think it would be a really good one.

  1. Because he's a JERK!!

  2. It gets ratings.  He's a shock jock.  If people didn't give him a hard time, he wouldn't have anything to rebel against.  The goal of a shock jock is to upset the humdrum of standardized behavior and ways of thinking.  If he didn't upset people, he would be out of a job.  Being publicly grilled demonstrates that he is successful, and those who grill him get a good chunk of dough too.

  3. he is very insensitive and sometimes that gets on peoples last nerves n cjhs

  4. I agree with you. I saw those interviews and they didn't do him justice. i think may its just hard to interview some one who is so on top of his game. the one on 20/20 was pretty good and was fair.

  5. I agree not one interviews him well.

Luckily he is so open on the air it's like he is interviewing himself each day.

Wouldn't it be great if they set up a show were the gang interviewed Howard all day.

I can imagine the questions Arty, Sal and Richard would ask I'm sure Fred and Robin would come up with some good personal questions.

Howard would never sit on that couch thou

  6. Perhaps someone like Jerry Springer could get the job of an intelligent interview done with Howard Stern!
