Japan eat so much fish and rice because they are a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean off the east coast of Asia and the land is wet and flat for growing rice, and the island is surrounded by water so that is where they get the fish.

  1. Why is the Bear Catholic?

  2. Because that's their culture. Why do Americans eat so many cheeseburgers?

  3. And that is why the Japanese have the longest lifespans as well. Fish is a source of good saturated fat (omega 3 fatty acids help prevent heart disease) and no trans fat. And the j**s have a tendency to eat the fish raw, so it is free of preservatives.

Rice is also great fuel, rich in carbs. You can't have deep-fried rice, can you, the way you have deep-fried potato to make chips.

So let's all eat more fish and rice! (vs. fish and chips!)

  4. Yeah you pretty much answered that yourself there!

  5. No room for cows then, is that it?

  6. Umm actually you're kinda wrong bout the growing rice part,

Japan has become so industious that they don't have enough room to grow rice for everyone in the country so they buy a majority or their rice from the U.S.

  7. I give you 10 points for the best answer! LOL!

  8. Since Japan is an island, they eat fish. Fish a key staple to their diet along with rice. Sushi naturally came from China. People needed to find a way to preserve fish. They mixed vinegar with rice and stored fish with it. People began to eat it and it became a delicatessy. 'Sushi' comes from the rice, not the fish. Dried nori (seaweed) was added later. Sushi is very nutritious because of the fish qualities and rice. Seaweed us very healthy for you as well. It's fresh and there's lots of variety.

  9. they are surrounded by water also there is hardly any land to grow anything else.

  10. By that same logic, then they would be fierce cannibals.

  11. You just asked a question and answered it yourself.

  12. Lol good answer!

  13. u sorta answered the question ur self

wut u said is right 2

  14. Hmmm... Why ask the question when you already know the answer?

"Japan eat so much fish and rice because they are a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean off the east coast of Asia and the land is wet and flat for growing rice, and the island is surrounded by water so that is where they get the fish."
