Why do jealous women always attack the other woman?

I've noticed this in past relationships. Your guy has been seeing you and another woman at the same time. The other woman hates you and tries to do you either physical or emotional damage. Or calls you bad names. You know which ones I mean. Where is the logic in this? The guy who's really responsible for the mess is sitting back enjoying two women (or more?) fight over him. I know my first reaction is to resent the other woman, but I quickly realize that doesn't make sense. Most women I know have working brains ... why are they unable to place responsibility where it belongs?

I think it has something to do with primeval instincts.  It's like how if you have two cats of the same gender (especially female) you're bound for trouble.  The women fight one another for the male.

My guess is the man in the middle lies about something to both women to make them think the other knew the whole time.

Men can be tricky like that.

Because honey, it takes TWO to tango. A man cannot cheat with another woman unless SHE IS WILLING. So, 1/2 of the fault is hers regardless of what the man does.

Okay, so you're one of those women.

Other than that, I agree with you.  I think it has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of people feel that men have no control over their feelings; so the woman must be blamed.  Unless the woman knows you, she may not have known about you, and even if she did, your boyfriend is supposed to be loyal to you.  The other woman doesn't owe you anything.

Umm, no.  I hardly implied that. I clearly said that people think that MEN have no control over their feelings (maybe I should have said "sexual urges" instead), so they feel that the woman must be blamed.  Reading is fundamental.  Seriously.

Okay, but the mere fact that it even came up means that you did feel jealous.  If I found out that my boyfriend was cheating on me, I'd be angry with HIM, not some other chick who was probably oblivious to the whole thing.  This is MY reaction.  Everyone's reaction is different.

Read carefully.  YOU asked "Why do JEALOUS women always attack the other woman?". I answered "because they're jealous".  Think about it.  If you had asked "why do women attack the other woman", that's one thing, but if you ask why do JEALOUS women attack the other woman, then it's kinda self explanatory.  And, if my boyfriend cheated on me, I'd be angry, not jealous.  Jealous of what?

Insecurity? And if she goes nutzo on the guy, chances are he'll just dump her ***. The best thing to do in this situation is play it cool.

Both men and women do this but since the topic is women...

I believe that it is a natural reaction to get angry with the intruder first. Women don't excuse the men. it's just that the brunt of their initial anger flow towards the other woman. But come on, more times than not the other woman knows about that the man is in a relationship/marriage already. I believe they have every right to be mad that someone is helping to damage their home. The other woman is usually not innocent either.

If a guy I'm dating dates another woman I'm gonna get rid of him.

She can call me whatever she wants because I don't care about her, she can have a man who cheats.
