  1. They don't have to go to school.   Home school is legal and practical.

  2. Mine don't.

They're not uneducated.  They won't be hobos.

The whole school thing is such a myth.  Some of the most successful people I know didn't go to school or didn't go to college.

  3. So we can learn and get a good job later on in life. It is a law that all kids go to school until a certain age. You eill thank your teacher later. You REALLY don't wanna be a hobo.

  4. For many reasons children go to school to learn the necessary skills for living a productive life. They learn to read, write, perform arithmetic, and get along with others. School is very vital to a child's development, and an education is crucial for survival in the modern world.

  5. Because it is important that the adults that they grow up into be educated and socially/emotionally viable people. The only people who think school is a waste are ignorant people who do not wish to make a difference in the world.

  6. They don't.  They are required to be offered an education (it's up to them to take advantage of it) during mandatory school ages, but nothing says that it has to be offered in a classroom.

My son doesn't attend a school, and he isn't at all bored with his education; he gets a say in most of what he learns.  He studies and achieves because he wants to.  He chose to be homeschooled and loves it.

  7. why do you think i mean school is a great place and on top of every thing awsome you get to lurn at least at my school that is what we try our best to achive.

  8. kids (kindergarten to 8th grade) go to school to learn to communicate

kids (teenagers) go to school so that parents don't have to deal with them

"kids" (college and up) go to school to learn how to live independently and prepare to work

  9. Because They will never make it htrough life if they do not!

  10. I'm homeschooled, so I don't.

  11. For kids like you won't be on yahoo answer asking dumb questions.

  12. because everyone wants to grow up to be diz amirite?

  13. They don't.

Education is compulsory, school is not.

It's a myth that kids have to go to school. My siblings and I don't. Kids have to be *educated*, they do *not* have to go to school.

The *only* kids who have to go to school are those whose names appear on a school register. Parents are free to remove their kids from school at any time/never enrol them in school in the first place if they no longer want/don't want their kids to go to school.

The only reason you have to go to school is because your parents have decided to send you there, no more, no less.

Your parents are obliged by law to provide you with 'an appropriate education' (whatever that means to you, your parents, your culture). Your parents are NOT obliged to send you to school; that is something they have freely chosen to do.

  14. Their parents force them into going to a "school", but what parents don't realize is there is another choice and that is homeschooling. They are so brainwashed into thinking that Public schools are best. Really quite sad if you ask me.

It is important to learn to help us later in in life, but you are right if you are a self learner and grow up with the live of learning then you wouldn't have to worry about going to school and could learn things on your own, but kids these days a lot of them aren't growing up with the love of learning. They are forced into studying things they aren't interested in and frankily may never use in their life again or not very often. We need to go back to the Traditional three R's and the other subjects are just extras.

  15. Because the government benefits when everyone has to go through its brainwashing. Notice that the government has kept out all competition, and regulates private schools. Regulating private curricula defeats the purpose of making them private.

Thank god we have compulsory public schooling now. I mean, Edison and Da Vinci could have been so useful if they'd gone to high school.
