I just saw an add on TV and it was about Lego's, at the end i saw that it said for ages 8-14, why is that. FIrst of all then minimum age used to be 4 or 5, now its 8. My other question is they have always had an age maximum around 14. I'm 15 and i still love making cool stuff with Lego's, and my 4 year old brother makes space ships that are very intricate and very well made.

  1. The age range that you see (8-14) is actually just a suggestion of the ages that the set was designed for and not a "limit."

I am 45, I have been collecting and building Lego since I was 12 years old. I create new Lego models that I show off at train shows and Adult Fans Of Lego (AFOL) Events, such as BrickWorld and BrickFair.

There is no age limit to creativity and having fun!

  2. Legos has a maximum age limit because they're afraid that the smaller toddlers might choke on the tiny pieces.

  3. dude im 18 and i LOVE legos idk y they put up a limit

  4. Age limits are primarily to insure that very young children don't get toys with very small pieces.

Once a child is old enough to NOT put the small pieces in their mouths or other body parts, throw the age limits out the window.

Legos are wonderful toys & when my son was in high school, we had a few days of ice & snow & couldn't get out of the driveway. He got bored with the tv, so got out his Legos & we built a HUGE Lego city in the living room. He was 16 at the time & I was 39.
