Does anyone else find this ridiculous. Actually I've noticed that the priced of many different varieties are ridiculous. Usually during the summer, the price of produce goes down, but not this year.

And why would lemons be so ridiculously priced and yet limes are reasonably priced. I've been buying limes, but no lemons because of their silly price.

  1. don't know the answer to this one!  But I agree it is ridiculous. I have had to cut way back on the amount I use (I use to have about 5 sitting in my fruit bowl at any given time) I have also had to improvise on some on the recipes calling for them because I don't always have them. I must say though...some recipes just have to have them!  And I swore off bottled lemon years ago.

  2. people add taxes or just raise the price because the want more money  or there aren't many lemons in the place you live in

  3. i hear ya, you just gotta buy in bulk from costco or sam's.  They come out to about 50 cents each, but  you need to buy about 8 or 10 or them.

  4. When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade.

When stores overcharge a ridiculous amount for lemons, you put one in a sock and beat the store owner with it.

  5. Because you live in a place where they can get that much for them. I agree, it's disgusting, but they do it because people pay it.

I suggest you invest $40 now and get a meyer lemon tree :) Then you'll get them basically free. We've got variegated pink lemon and a meyer lemon trees

  6. Yay for limes.
