  1. She's a gimmick..you know it, we know it, attacking her will make you sexist...so you have to not attack her...insulting her will make you a bully you cant insult...she was chosen to be the new Hillary in a hope that all Hillary fans will drop Hillary and move to her...once again she was chosen to get the 18 million...no matter what her background is.

  2. If he picked her because of her gender, then what he is saying is that half of the voting block is composed of women. Why aren't they represented in the presidential elections. Obama blew right over Hillary and other fine female candidates. But the female vote has not really had a representative since Geraldine Ferraro in 1984. With the help of the media, Hillary was cast off to the sidewalk. McCain, in order to win the female block took on Palin. Smart move on his part.

Another thing, Obama has the black vote. Isn't that racist of the black community? So if the blacks have Obama, why can't the females have Palin.

  3. Exactly right.

But it is "about women"--liberal or otherwise. McCain is a male chauvinist pig--his personal life proves it. This is a disgusting attempt to appeal to the "little woman in the kitchen"--which is his notion of the limits women can aspire to. If McCaine were seriousabout picking a capable women, he'd hae chosen someone like Condi Rice--who IS capable, even if I personally don't share her views, I do respect her achievements.  McCain, obviously, has no regard for the outstanding work of the many Republican women who wouldbe credible candidates.

Intelligent and educated women aren't going to be fooled--whether they are liberalor conservative. But yes, that was McCain's intent.

  4. Because it is all about them.

Palin is impressive and the more people get to know her, man or woman, they will realize that she has what it takes to unite all parties across the board.

And not only that, we know where she stands and she doesn't waver.

    McCain/Palin 2008

  5. You may think it's insulting, but it's the truth.

  6. I'm liberal, and it isn't about me. But, c'mon -- she's not exactly Harvard Law Review, is she? And look what happened last time we voted someone in who was a "regular guy" you'd want to have a beer with.  You conservatives must be SO proud. . .

We are so detested by so many people around the world now -- I know this first hand from conversations I've had with people from Europe to Asia.

  7. I'm a die-hard Conservative who just got reinvigorated about this race.  I don't personally think it has anything to do with THEM.

  8. I see more than that...sorry but I do!

She sounds like a young Hillary...ready to step up!

it's as exciting to me as it must be for an African American right now.  What joy we get to feel all at the same time!  I can relate now!  I do admire the Obama's very much.  I also admire and have admired Condi Rice for a while and wished she'd be picked but...you would all say what you are saying now.  Plus Condi didn't want it right?

I love the Clinton's ..as much as I love the Bush's because I know it's not just the White House running the country...

    Our majority made those choices...

can i put it that way?  How exciting I just love elections years!

    I'm not insulted at all...

  9. There are other reasons he chose her. But pretty much the first thing she said was addressing Hillary supporters and inviting them onboard. So, thinking it is about them is not a crazy thing.

  10. People are born self-centered.  When we are young we only understand the world through our own senses and as such don't have an external view.  That comes only through the development of consciousness.  Though we may live in an advanced society many people retain that primitive lack of external awareness.

As such they feel that the everything that happens does do to affect them.  That there are others who have their own thoughts and ideas is not something they comprehend.

So when McCain who is in danger of losing the Republicans traditional conservative base goes out and selects a VP from the heart of that base they only see female and assume that the pick was made for them.

  11. Liberal women think that EVERYTHING is about them.

  12. It's not insulting, it's politics.

Sen. McCain is making a play for the votes of women who feel disaffected by the choice of Sen. Obama over Sen. Clinton.

Sen. Clinton was first passed over by the party as their candidate.  She was then passed over by Obama for VEEP.

  13. Why are African Americans voting for Obama because of the color of his skin?  That is the most absurd thing ever.  If the liberal women want to cast their vote in the right direction, they are welcome to.  I think Palin is a brilliant pick! -Not true about the blue thing.  There are a few who vote Republican because they vote their values but something like 98% are voting for him because he is black.  People who have never voted before are voting because of the color of the man's skin.  MISTAKE!

  14. Don't mind my Bizarro sister...

She failed out of Clown College....

  15. There you go trying to take control over people's thoughts already...

I am a Hillary Voter (not a woman though) and I find it Hilarious that McCain has wasted his VP pick trying to court me...
