Why do liberals always believe the world is about to end?

Actually, I see more "Chicken Little" conservatives posting here than liberals.  Some have such over the top rhetoric about how the country will cease to exist, we'll be invaded by Muslims, Communists and Klingons, our economy will collapse, Whites will be enslaved, etc, etc, etc.  You name it, it will come to pass if we don't support THEIR candidate!

I don't know why anyone thinks such bizarre posts would be convincing in the least.

Correction: Progressives tend to react to ACTUAL REAL problems that are a threat to our long term stability and peace. Pseudo-conservatives tend to be afraid of imaginary threats like WMD'S in Iraq and Iran.

You see, Global warming is real, it is happening and it is going to get worse. Sure, terrorism is a threat but not as much a threat as global warming will be if we don't act now.

The difference is, the whole world is aware of the threat from global warming and are reacting to it, while the whole world is aware terrorism is a threat but not so much as global warming. Now, switch those beliefs around and you find out the opposite is believed among pseudo-conservatives who isolate themselves in ideological bubbles that are fed by the likes of reich-wing radio and Fox News who report fake science paid for by the oil industry and constantly perpetuate the myth that terrorism and Iran is the most important threat facing this nation.

Pseudo-conservatives can either keep isolating themselves in wishful thinking, or can come and join us in the real world where the threat of global warming is already have disasterous effects. Whether they want to join or not is NOT up to them as the effects of global warming will make reality dawn on them, whether they admit to it being man-made or not.

That is their way of continuing to get more government power.  During the numerous crises, new laws are passed that gives them more power ( and costs the people more in taxes and their liberties ).

I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they cost $60--$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only $135 a barrel. (Please tell nobody:  one day on Jan. Goldman & Sachs traded a volume of barrels = US one years import in volume)

So here is my difficulty:

Congress is now investigating on oil speculation, I am afraid of being caught.  But if I sell them right now, I would end up with little or no profit since the trading fees and hedge fund managing cost are not cheap.

I already request my agents send  the spin out to the media, like: “Oil future looks high, expecting to be in the range of $200 a barrel soon. ”   But it does not work price up as fast as I expected.

So my question is this:  How do I corner the market price up in time so not to get caught by Congress.?

Theory One:  They hate themselves, each other, and everybody else.  They are convinced that no one does anything right, and they want it all to end.

The liberals point out things that will become a problem and then make sure that these problems get solved before they turn into disasters if possible.
