Why do liberals call themselves open minded when they always bash the other side?

Liberals always trash the conservative point of view as being narrow minded (though this is false). So if liberals bash the other side, then how can they be open minded?

just listening to right wing ideology is open mindedness. not accepting the philosphy that has failed is called trial and error. liberals are just moving on.

An honest American who has been alive for more than 18 or 20 years knows that the confusatives started all the bashing.  Republicans, unfortunately for the Republic, especially of the neojew, I mean the neocon, variety have been easily the worst - and most dishonest (read their talmud; it gives them the "right" to lie, cheat, steal, and even murder, a nonjew/Gentile) - in American history.

And I thought "jews" considered an open mind to be an empty mind.  That's what your kind has been saying for the last couple of decades.  Hmm?

Well in theory having an open mind means you consider the other point no matter who makes it but you can still trash it if you think its bad. Also they seem to have a reputation for being less critical and on rare occasions even recognizing something the other side has right which happens much less with the conservative side. Still don't forget they're a political side so they still have to make themselves seem better then the other side and that means pointing the flaws in view points from the other side.

Because being open-minded doesn't mean you don't have standards.  In fact, part of being open-minded is that you ought to work to preserve intellectual rigor in discourse along with freedom of expression.

Also, look up the term "open-minded."

Because they can tolerate murderers being let out on probation, the killing of human fetuses, and sky-high taxes! It takes quite a bit of "tolerance" to go against one's personal good.

Because they reject the lies of the republican party and fox news. The underlying facts that the rich get richer under republicans explains why they spend so many dollars buying politicians like john mccain. The maverick is now a riding pony ridden by Murdock's fox news and the oil companies.

It's like what I've been saying all along for quite sometime by quoting that great voice of reason on the radio Micheal Savage that liberalism is a mental disorder. Add to the fact that it is a dangerous, and hypocritical one at that! Now with that said. . .

Now, what we have here in The United States of America within our political system is what we call a two party system! I do not mean Democrat-Republican! Instead we have Liberal-Conservative! And NO! It is NOT Democrat/Liberal, Republican/Conservative either.

Now, here is freedom of speech in both conservative mindset, and the liberal mindset;

(1) The conservative mindset believes that everyone has a right to say what they feel is on their heart. They are the type that will make a stand for the freedom of speech no matter how high the cost.

(2) Not so with the liberals! If their ideologies are on the contrary to either mine, or yours, it is then that they scream "freedom of expression!" And yet they want to ban talk radio by bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. They would rather have you arrested for not being sensitive! They would rather silence the truth.  They scream freedom of expression, But for you to have anything that opposes their point of view, they would want you arrested for "Hate speech!"

They hate the Constitution of the United States! They would rather have everyone  living in a spcialist/Communist regime where only the government has the freedom to do and say whatever they want and we the people become we the Peasants!

Hey Joe M! I heard that you were Ned Beatty's stunt double! Tell me why do liberals hide when the light of the truth comes out upon them! It was a liberal named Henry Kissinger that said; "The illegal we do immediately, but the unconstitutional takes a little longer!" Now, why is it that the liberals doing the unconstitutional! For example; Freedom of speech, for example, why is it when ever I say that is contrary to what the liberals preach, they want me jailed! Why did they get offended at the fact that John McCain owns a lot of private properties which is NOT against the Constitution at all? I guess that the liberals are against the 5th amendment as well as the 2nd amendment, and the 1st amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America! Why do the liberals seem to want more government control within our own lives?!

Oh yeah! Taxation without representation. . . Why do liberals keep wanting the taxpayer to keep throwing money into the welfare system?!!  The welfare system either needs to be revamped, or done away with altogether! I do not believe in giving crack whores that crank out a baby just so they can give themselves a raise at the taxpayer's expense, and able bodied bums that refuse to work do not deserve any of our tax dollars at all!

The liberals that are in the House and the Senate love for a people to be dependent on their government just like in China, and in Cuba! They need their SIGs! (Special Interest Groups)
