Why do liberals insist there are no differences between men and women, but think being g*y is genetic ?

well that's a fairly generalized question... I would have to argue that Liberals probably have a much larger spectrum of beliefs, they tend not to go with the flow or blindly advocate fundamental values...

edit... wow, never heard that Liberalism is a DISEASE, lol. My humble opinion that fundamantalist take the easy way out and blindly follow whatever they are fed is my opinion and I would hope I am never so closminded to know that others might not share my opinion, without attributing a mental condition to them!

Interesting point. IMO people who think that men and women are inherently the same and the only difference is the result of nurture, are burying their heads in the sand. Seriously. Men and women are very different from one another physically as well as mentally. It isn't the result of nurture, either, but the result of genetics. We were designed to be different and to fill slightly different roles.

Because being g*y IS genetic, as many unbiased scientists with no axe to grind have proven (and, obviously, they know more about this than you). Many of the overall differences that exist between men and women do not apply to every member of either s*x and are therefore not natural for that s*x as a whole, just the individuals who have the traits in questions.

because who you are sexually attracted to isn't a choice, it's just there whether you are gaty, bisexual or straight. In the same way people are who they are regardless of gender.

By saying there are definite differences between men and women is saying that all men have the same traits, as do all women but as in sexuality, although the majority may be similar every one is different.

Also a lot of the 'differences' between men and women are social or behaviours, in the same way people from different culture or class groups act different. Eg high class people don't act differently from 'low' class people because it's in their DNA, it's behavioural, learnt.

Homosexuality is not genetic, this has been proven in scientific studies.  Homosexuality is biologically based however.  During fetus formation in the womb, the mother's hormonal levels can affect brain development of the unborn child.  

For example if a boy is in the womb, and the mother produces excess amounts of estrogen, there is a strong likelihood that the child may be g*y.  The same goes for girls and the mother's  level of testosterone during fetal brain formation.  

In my experience Liberals want the sexes to be "equal."  This definition of "equal" will vary from Liberal to Liberal, but most will assert that they believe in equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity.

This is the very reason women are not required to meet the same physical standards as men in the military and why female firefighters don't have to meet the same physical standards as male firefighters.

I don't understand how this is a question? Women and men are the same in that they are attracted to the opposite s*x. g*y women and g*y men are the same in that they are attracted to the same gender.

I think and the majority of psychologist and anthropologist believe that our personalities and behaviors are develop through a combination of nature and nurture.   Some things, like do you like peanut butter is learned.  Other things like blinking when you hear a load noise is instinctive. The majority of "traits" fall somewhere in between.

Basic sexual nature, like which s*x you like would fall into the instinct category.  

Also there are no personality traits that are male, or female or (g*y or straight) only human traits.    

Is this to complicated to understand?

I haven't seen anyone assert that there are "no differences" between men and women.  We are anatomically different.

Liberals assert equal worth, equal rights and equal opportunities.  That is not the same as saying there are no differences between the sexes.

I know a lot of liberals who have spent their whole lives teaching at universities about how women are different... and g*y rights activists are split on whether or not it is good to say homosexuality is genetically caused (because if it is, what about heterosexual-selective abortions?  and how to you explain bisexuality?  and if it isn't, how do you defend against conservatives who claim homosexuality is a choice?)
